Organiser's Description
THE SOUNDVIEW 5K is a 5000 meter race within Soundview Park in the Bronx. The paved course is flat and fast, with one hell of a hairpin turn! You'll run through an urban green space with playgrounds, soccer & baseball fields, and an amphitheater. Oh, and you'll also run along the Bronx River!
A cash prize will be awarded to the 1st place male and 1st place female runners.
Age Group Awards will go to the top Male & Female for the following Age Groups:
19 and under20 - 2930 - 3940 - 4950 - 5960 +
The SOUNDVIEW 5K will have a waved start method. The waves and associated start times are as follows:
10:00AM: Community Wave
10:50AM: Elite Wave*
*Entrance into the Elite Wave is determined by seed time supplied at registration. Cutoff times are not pre-determined and evolve as the field takes shape.
Emails will be sent with further details closer to race day.
