Whipple City 5K & 10K

The Whipple City 5K  and 10K races are family oriented events that take you through the beautiful village and farmland of Greenwich, NY.  The 5k race is a gentle upslope out and a quick downslope back, starting and ending in front of the Greenwich Central Middle School.  The 10k, which will start at the same time and place as the 5k this year, follows the 5k course and then continues on an out and back course through the beautiful countryside over rolling hills.  Water and light refreshments are available after the race.  Unique prizes (handcrafted decoys provided by Dux Dekes) are awarded to the male and female overall winners of the 5k and 10k.  A portion of the proceeds supports the Greater Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Scholarship for Greenwich Central School. 
There is a 1K Fun Run for children 12 and under after the race.  All children participating in the fun run will receive a participant ribbon.
