Get ready for an exhilarating winter challenge at the 2025 Frozen Ass Fifty, taking place on Monday, February 17, 2025, in the picturesque city of Calgary, Alberta! This fantastic ultra-marathon offers both in-person and virtual options, allowing participants to choose their preferred experience. The in-person event kicks off with the 50 km race at 9:00 AM, featuring a scenic four-loop course that meanders through beautiful locations such as Pearce Estate Park, Inglewood, and St. Patrick's Island. Runners can look forward to well-placed aid stations at 12.5, 25, and 37.5 km to keep them energized throughout the race. For those opting for a shorter distance, the 25 km race starts at 11:00 AM with a two-loop course and an aid station at 12.5 km.
Not only will you be part of an incredible running community, but you'll also enjoy a lively post-race party at the Bow Waters Canoe Club to celebrate your achievements! If you prefer to run virtually, you can complete your 50 km or 25 km between February 1st and 18th, no matter where you are—on a treadmill

The 2024 Frozen Ass Fifty: a fantastic winter ultra hosted by Gord's Running Store. In-person: February 17, 2025, 50 km start @ 9:00 AM, from the Bow Waters Canoe Club, with an aid station at 12 1/2, 25, & 37 1/2 km along the City pathway system, on a four-loop course passing through Pearce Estate Park, Inglewood, Fort Calgary, St Patrick's Island, near Calgary Zoo, Nose Creek and the Irrigation Canal. 25 km start @ 11:00 AM, with one aid station at 12 1/2 Km, on a two-loop course.
