Organiser's Description
Be a Community Champion!Join the Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London and our partners, Kiwanis Middlesex, at the 2nd annual It's Still Me Walk Run Roll. Our goal is to raise over $40,000 to support two important local initiatives: The Possibilities Project and Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre (details below). How can you help? Register online and invite family, friends, colleagues and networks to sponsor you. Then dust off your sneakers, polish those roller skates, or pump up your tires, and get ready to raise some funds! And you can sign-up for the Wheelchair Relay! Teams of four (4) navigate an obstacle course using wheelchairs and adaptive equipment. It will help raise awareness for the challenges faced by people living with disabilities, and raise funds for our important charities. For both of these events, prizes will be awarded to teams and individuals for: best time, most funds raised, and (because it's important to have fun) best costumes! REGISTER TODAY! Challenge your colleagues! Did we mention there are prizes? :)The community will be on hand to cheer you on! After your walk/run/roll, visit the Kids Zone with bouncy castles and games, adaptive sport presentations, and food trucks! Drop by the Big Tent to check out the Mega Silent Auction and pick up some 50/50 tickets! Browse the Vendor Village where local businesses blend with agencies that support our community, because βit takes a villageβ to create a safe, inclusive, barrier-free world. The draw for our Dinner for Two Anywhere in the World prize (a $10,000 travel voucher from Ellison Travel), will be held at 3 p.m. Proceeds will go to Children's Health Foundation. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the RibFest in Victoria Park, during the Western Fair (at the Kiwanis booth), or from a Kiwanis Club member (reach out to [email protected]). Ticket sales close September 27, 2025 at 2 p.m. (To purchase a ticket, you must be at least 18 years of age and a permanent resident of Ontario.)- - -The Possibilities Project is a grass-roots initiative created by St. Josephβs Regional Rehabilitation Team. It works to ease the financial burden of medical equipment costs for patients with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, amputations and neurological conditions of childhood onset. Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre has supported children and families in London and the surrounding area for 150 years. Their programs and services support children and families as they navigate through and beyond crisis, to promote optimal social, emotional, and mental wellness. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. Together, we can make a difference.
