Be a Community Champion!Join the Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London and our partners, Kiwanis Middlesex, at the 2nd annual It's Still Me Walk Run Roll. Our goal is to raise over $40,000 to support two important local initiatives: The Possibilities Project and Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre (details below). How can you help? Register online and invite family, friends, colleagues and networks to sponsor you. Then dust off your sneakers, polish those roller skates, or pump up your tires, and get ready to raise some funds! Why not sign-up for the Wheelchair Relay! Teams of four (4) navigate an obstacle course using wheelchairs and adaptive equipment. The relay will help raise awareness for the challenges faced by people living with disabilities, and raise funds for our important charities. It's $40 per team to enter, and a ton of fun!For both of these events, prizes will be awarded to teams and individuals for: best time, most funds raised, and (because it's important to have fun) best costumes! Browse the Vendor Village where local businesses blend with agencies that support our community, because “it takes a village” to create a safe, inclusive, barrier-free world. The draw for our Dream Vacation Raffle (a $10,000 travel voucher from Ellison Travel), will be held at 3 p.m. Proceeds go to Children's Health Foundation. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at during the Western Fair (at the Kiwanis booth), or from a Kiwanis Club member (contact [email protected]). Ticket sales close September 27, 2025 at 2 p.m. (To purchase a ticket, you must be at least 18 years of age and a permanent resident of Ontario.)- - -The Possibilities Project is a grass-roots initiative created by St. Joseph’s Regional Rehabilitation Team. It works to ease the financial burden of medical equipment costs for patients with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, amputations and neurological conditions of childhood onset. Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre has supported children and families in London and the surrounding area for 150 years. Their programs and services support children and families as they navigate through and beyond crisis, to promote optimal social, emotional, and mental wellness. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. Together, we can make a difference.
