Join Run Calgary and One For The Road Brewing on Sunday, August 17!Free to register, spots are limited!The Beer Mile is BACK! Join us for our second annual One For The Road Beer Mile on Sunday, August 17! We're pitting run crews against each other for some friendly competition. This non-alcoholic beer mile is not your typical race. Participants will each race a mile (4 x 4 laps around the 400m track), stopping every 400 meters to chug a One For The Road beer.Whether you're part of a run crew that's new to the scene, or looking for some redemption after last year's race - this event promises excitement, camaraderie, and plenty of laughs. Gather your teammates, lace up your running shoes, and prepare for a challenge like no other. There will be music, snacks, prizes and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow runners.Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind race that combines speed, strategy, and a love for beer. How It WorksWhen you register, you will be prompted to select the Run Crew Team you wish to join.Don't see your crew listed? Send us an email at [email protected]. Please note: as this is a run crew focused event, we are only adding active run clubs/crews that have recurring group runs in/around Calgary.Not officially part of a crew? Pick the squad that you're most interested in and get ready to make some new friends!No limit to the number of people that can join each run crew teamHeats will be assigned based on gender & estimate pace timesHeats will be communicated to participants upon check-in on race dayHeats will consist of 12-15 runners from different run crewsTop prize goes to the run crew with the highest cumulative points (get recruiting!)Prizes will also be available for the run crew with the highest average points per run crew member (to give smaller crews an opportunity to win, min 5 team members required to win this prize), and best team spirit (think coordinated outfits, over-the-top cheering, branded gear etc).
