Celebrating its impressive 62nd year, this iconic marathon is Canada’s longest-running race, attracting participants from around the globe to experience the charm of Calgary while celebrating its rich western heritage.
Runners can choose from an exciting lineup of events, including a 5 km, 10 km, Kids Race, and Diaper Dash on Saturday, followed by the thrilling half marathon (21.1 km) and full marathon (42.2 km) on Sunday. For those who prefer a virtual option, a unique race experience will be available from May 25 to June 21. Participants also have the chance to make a difference by fundraising for over 100 charities through the Charity Challenge. New for 2026, the Green Bib option allows runners to opt out of receiving a race shirt and medal, with a donation made to the Great Divide Trail Association instead. There is also the option to join or create a team in one of 3 categories: Fundraising Team, Corporate Team and Youth Team.

If a participant chooses the Green Bib option, a $10 donation will be made to the Great Divide Trail Association, in lieu of a race shirt and medal.Please note: The Green Bib Program does not apply to the Kids Race or Diaper Dash! All kids participating in these two events will receive both a shirt (or baby bib for Diaper Dash participants) AND medal.
