2026 Bastion 12KEnjoy some of the best road running that Vancouver Island has to offer. Distances range from 5km to the half-marathon.
For beginners to Olympians and everyone in between, walkers to runners and all ages.Fingers crossed, this will be the first year that the event is taking place in Lantzville. For 2025, a heavy snowfall called for the postponement of the race and a move back to the old Cedar location.Race registration is capped at 800.The course is gently rolling, very rural and nearly traffic-free. Good news is there will only be two 180-degree turns.

Registration fee includes admin fee, but not 5% GST.No pets are permitted to accompany a participant. Only registered guide dogs are permitted. All visually impaired participants, accompanied by an assisting runner or guide dog must start at the back of the field.The use of headphones of any sort is discouraged. While not banned, a participant can be disqualified for impeding another athlete, operations, or emergency services.
