For this year's event, we have changed location, bringing the Mid-Summer Classic to the Welland Community Boathouse for the first timeThis years event features Open Water Distances of 2K, 4K, and 10K.We have also brought back Mudskipper SwimRun - Welland A 10.5K swimrun that takes place in and around this unique section of the Welland Recreational Canal.At Canaqua Sports, our goal has always been to host great events in exceptional locations. The Welland Community Boathouse is a unique location that brings the country into the city. This beautiful section of the Welland Recreational Canal is the perfect place for our Mid-Summer Classic Event
Midsummer Open Water SwimCome and join us in the beautiful Welland Recreational Canal and pick your distance. Choose from our 2.0K, 4K and 10K distancesCourse: The course will be a 2.0 km loop. All swimmers will do 1, 2, or 5 loops depending on their chosen distance. The Mid-Summer Open Water Swim is open to swimmers of all ages 12 and up. We invite all those interested to join us and enjoy a great swim at this fantastic venue.
Mudskipper Midsummer SwimRun ChallengeYes, its Back for 2026. We are very excited to bring back Mudskipper SwimRun Welland as part of our Mid-Summer Classic. Similar to the swimrun we do in June, this race includes 3K of swimming and 8K of running over 5 stages. A great distance for those looking to give swimrun a try for the first time, and for those who prefer a shorter, faster race! NEW FOR 2026 is our Midsummer SwimRun Relay. One person runs, and one person swims—a new type of swimrun. Grab a partner and give it a try.
