Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the highly anticipated Conquer the Lake Running Event, taking place on Sunday, June 8th, 2025, in the picturesque Lake Country, Central Okanagan! This vibrant event offers something for everyone, featuring a stunning Half Marathon, as well as 10km and 5km Fun Runs, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Wood Lake. Families can also join the fun with a 1km Kids Fun Run scheduled for mid-morning, ensuring a day filled with excitement for participants of all ages.
Starting from Beasley Park, the Half Marathon kicks off at 8 a.m., followed closely by the 5km and 10km Fun Runs at 8:30 a.m., and the Kids Fun Run at 10:45 a.m. Participants can look forward to awards and draw prizes at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Beasley Community Centre. This year, the event is proud to support the North Okanagan Special Olympics, making every stride count for a great cause. Conquer The Lake returns this year in Lake Country, BC on SUNDAY, JUNE 8th 2025!
RACE REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday, June 5th @ Midnight!!!
Run around beautiful Wood Lake for the Half Marathon or a 10km or 5km Fun Run (out-and back route along the Rail Trail). We also have a 1km fun run for kids mid-morning, fun for the whole family.
The Half Marathon is officially one of the Interior Running Association's (IRAs) races in the Road Running Race Series!
This year, we are fundraising for the NORTH OKANAGAN SPECIAL OLYMPICS!
START LOCATION: Beasley Park, 3450 Woodsdale Road, Lake Country BC
Race Start Times:Half-Marathon: 8 a.m.5km & 10km Fun Run: 8:30 a.m.1km Fun Run for Kids: 10:45 a.m.
Awards Time: 11:30 a.m. (in front of the Beasley Community Centre steps)There will be Draw Prizes from the IRA.Age-group prizes will be given out to the top 3 of each age-group.
RACE BIB PICK-UP:
DAY BEFORE RACE:- JUNE 7th at PLAY KELOWNA (1950 Harvey Avenue, Unit 101)- 11 a.m to 1p.m.
RACE MORNING:- Pick-up time starts at 6:30 a.m and will roll right up until your race start-time.- Held at the Beasley Community Centre: There will be 2-3 lines, each for the Half-Marathon and 5k/10k to keep it separate.- The Kids Run race-bib pickup will be after 8:30 a.m. up until race-time.
There will be no refunds issued 90 days prior to the event due to incurred costs, processing fees and it is a fundraising event. Thank you for your understanding. You CAN transfer to a different distance event by logging into your account :)
