Medals will be awarded to the top three men and women, with a record time of 33:05 set in 2004 that adds an extra layer of excitement! For teams looking to collaborate, the 5km Relay invites pairs to tackle the course, with each member running a 5km leg starting from different checkpoints. With affordable entry fees of just $20 for the 10km and $30 for the 5km Relay, the Douro Doings promises a memorable day filled with fun and community spirit. Organiser's Description

The Douro Doings has a rich history offering 93 years of events. The races are part of the famous Douro Doings on Labour Day. With baseball games, car shows, breakfast and lunch, frog jumps, kids races, and finished with a roast beef dinner. The race has become a big part of the day.The 10km course runs on a hilly out and back route running into the town of Douro. Expect to see locals cheering you on, and to feel a real home town feel. This is a chip timed event, with medals given to the top 3 men and women. The newest event in it's 2nd year is the 5km Relay where teams of two complete a 5km leg. Each leg starts at a different check point. Runners will need to arrange transportation to get to the check point prior to race and from the 5km hand off to the finish line.This is a very cost effective event as the 10km costs $20 and the 5km Relay is $30. 10km course Record 33:05 set in 2004 by Darl SutherlandTeam Relay Course Record 2023: 36:44 Come and be apart of history.
