Get ready for an exhilarating day of running at the 5th Annual Fast Days of Summer 5000 and Mile event on Sunday, August 31st, 2025, in beautiful Kelowna, Central Okanagan! Kicking off at 8 AM, this exciting race features a certified 5k course that's flat and fast, making it the perfect opportunity to achieve a personal best or tackle your first 5k. Not only is the 5k eligible for IRA 2025 points standing, but there is also a certified 1-mile race beginning at 9:15 AM, allowing runners of all levels to participate and enjoy the thrill of competition.
After the mile race, kids can join in on the fun with a "fun run" available by donation. All proceeds from the 5k and mile races will benefit the UBCO Heat cross country program, so you’ll be running for a great cause! Don’t forget to pick up your race package between 7:00-7:45 AM for the 5k and from 8:15-9:00 AM for the mile. Registration closes on August 30th at 6 PM, so secure your spot and get ready for a

Parking south of the start. Park near Rusty’s Sports Lounge and surrounding lots.
We look forward to seeing you at our 5th annual “Fast Days of Summer 5000”This is a flat, fast, 5k with chip timing. The course is certified ( BC-2023-021-BDC )!
Perfect to run your first 5k, push your limits, or set a new PR taking advantage of your summer training! The 5k race will be eligible for IRA 2025 points standing.
We will be hosting a 1 mile race as well, which is also certified for 2025 as above

This will be after the 5k, with a 9:15 start.
Untimed kids "fun run" after the mile race by donation.
