Join us for the fourth annual Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run on Sunday, September 7th, 2025, in the beautiful Edmonton Valley Zoo, Alberta! This exciting event is not just a run; it’s a family-friendly experience that supports the Valley Zoo Development Society. Last year, participants helped adopt exhibits for the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin, and Goeldi's Monkey, as well as sponsor a wolf paw for the arctic wolves' new habitat.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or looking for a fun day out with family, there's something for everyone! Choose from a toddler loop, or tackle the 1 km, 2 km, or 5 km routes, all starting and finishing at the lively amphitheater in the zoo. Not in Edmonton? No worries! This year, we are thrilled to offer a Virtual option, allowing you to run 1, 2, or 5 km from wherever you are. All virtual participants will receive a unique finisher gift delivered right to your door. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to support wildlife while enjoying a day of fun and fitness!

Organiser's Description
This is the fourth annual Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run which raises funds to support the Valley Zoo Development Society. Last year, this family friendly run raised funds to adopt the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin and Goeldi's Monkey exhibits, as well as sponsor a wolf paw at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Adopting an exhibit provides funds for improved habitats and enrichment materials and sponsoring the wolf paw was supporting the build of a brand new exhibit for the arctic wolves. The run will start and end in the Edmonton Valley Zoo amphitheater! This run has a distance for the whole family to enjoy and features a toddler loop, 1 km, 2 km and 5 km route. Not in Edmonton, but still want to participate? This year we are introducing a Virtual option - your choice to run 1, 2 or 5 km.
