Last year's event made a significant impact by adopting exhibits for the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin, and Goeldi's Monkey, as well as sponsoring a wolf paw for the new arctic wolf exhibit.
Participants can choose from a variety of race distances, including a fun toddler loop, a 1 km, 2 km, or a 5 km route, ensuring there's something for everyone. Plus, for those who can't make it to Edmonton, a Virtual option allows you to join in the fun from anywhere by running 1, 2, or 5 km at your own pace. All virtual participants will receive a special custom-designed finisher gift in the mail! Join us at the Edmonton Valley Zoo amphitheater for a day filled with fun, fitness, and a fantastic cause. Organiser's Description
This is the fourth annual Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run which raises funds to support the Valley Zoo Development Society. Last year, this family friendly run raised funds to adopt the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin and Goeldi's Monkey exhibits, as well as sponsor a wolf paw at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Adopting an exhibit provides funds for improved habitats and enrichment materials and sponsoring the wolf paw was supporting the build of a brand new exhibit for the arctic wolves. The run will start and end in the Edmonton Valley Zoo amphitheater! This run has a distance for the whole family to enjoy and features a toddler loop, 1 km, 2 km and 5 km route. Not in Edmonton, but still want to participate? This year we are introducing a Virtual option - your choice to run 1, 2 or 5 km.
