Organiser's Description

Urban Trail Racing is excited to host the return of Halifax Search and Rescue's E2C after a 5 year hiatus! Being fellow Search and Rescue members we know how much fun it is to get out into the woods to put your navigation skills to work.

This year we're in Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes Wilderness Area. For being on a bus route this is some very remote wilderness! We kick off from Maskwa Aquatics Club parking lot and head into this amazing wilderness area. To make the experience even more magical the Wild Lakes 10K race will be happening at the same time! You may see some racers on some of the trails while you're out there!

Teams of two or more have a fixed time (4 or 8 hours) to visit as many of the checkpoints as possible. The winner of the event is the team that obtains the highest point total within the specified time, or is the fastest to return to the start after visiting all the markers on the course. All profits from the Eco-Endurance Challenge are used to support the life-saving activities of Halifax Regional Search and Rescue team.
