Organiser's Description

The Mount Robson Marathon is a grassroots, community oriented event hosted on the Berg Lake Trail - a world class hiking destination within Mount Robson Provincial Park. After the Park, and the Berg Lake Trail experienced devastating floods in 2021, we are very excited to once again showcase this spectacular trail! The Mount Robson Marathon event offers four distances: the Ultra Marathon, the Half Marathon, Kinney Lake 12km and Flatlander 5km runs. All of our running events start at the Mount Robson Welcome Centre and follow the Berg Lake Trail up the Robson River. All of the runs are out-and-back routes with water/aid stations along the way. The Ultra Marathon observes the entire Berg Lake Trail. The route passes through several different environmental zones and has its turn-around point just past the shores of magnificent Berg Lake, truly making this marathon a one-of-a-kind experience. Runners will gain 825m of elevation, with the majority of that in a 5km stretch called the Valley of a Thousand Falls. The Half Marathon, takes runners up a mostly well groomed double-track trail past Kinney Lake to a turnaround point on the Kinney Lake gravel flats above the lake. The Kinney Lake 12km run takes runners to a turnaround point at the outflow bridge at Kinney Lake. The Flatlander 5km is mostly flat open road with a small section of wide gently inclining trail at the start of the Berg Lake Trail. There is also a free Kids’ Fun Run around the Mount Robson Info Centre during the day.Registration will be available on our website starting on January 31st. Stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for updates.
