Hosted by Strait Area Ground Search and Rescue in collaboration with Highland Trail Running and the Cape George Trail Association. Trail Race OverviewJoin us for a scenic and challenging trail race along the stunning Cape George Trails in Nova Scotia! Choose between a 10K or 21K trail run that winds through coastal forest, rugged terrain, and breathtaking ocean views. Whether you're an experienced trail runner or new to trail running, this race offers something for everyone.This event is a fundraiser for Strait Area Ground Search and Rescue (SAGSAR), with a portion of proceeds going to support the Cape George Trail Association. A little bit about SAGSAR:Strait Area Ground Search and Rescue (SAGSAR) is a fully volunteer-run, non-profit organization committed to delivering the highest level of response when someone goes missing in a wilderness setting. We cover the largest geographic area of any SAR team in Nova Scotia. Our dedicated volunteers are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Course InformationThere will be two aid stations along the course for the 21KM, and one for the 10KM. The aid stations will have water and a first aid provider. This will be a manually timed race. There will be transport available from the finish line (Cape George Lighthouse) to the start (North Shore Fire Hall)No dogs allowed during the race but welcome at the finish line!Donation OptionsNot interested in running the race but want to donate?
