The event kicks off early, with registration and bib pick-up starting at 7:30 am and closing by 8:30 am, so be sure to arrive on time to secure your spot. Participants can look forward to finisher medals, on-site first aid support, and hydration stations along the route. Organiser's Description
The Optimist Club of Fingal - Shedden and District is hosting their Third Annual Rosy Rhubarb Walk and/or Run on Sunday June 14th, 2026, in celebration and support of events in our community. You can register for the 5 KM Run or Walk or you can register for the 10km run. Kids 12 and under can register for the 1km Fun Run!! Finisher medals for all participants.RACE MAP: to be updated closer to the race date.
Parking : Please park at the soccer fields located at 9210 Union road Shedden . It’s imperative that those participating in the 5km run or walk, and the 10km run have completed their registration and check in by 8:30am as roads will start to close. Registration for the kids 1km fun run will begin around PLEASE REMEMBER THAT UNION ROAD WILL BE CLOSED (FROM THE SOUTH) FROM 8:45 UNTIL 11:00 (OR UNTIL THE LAST RUNNER/WALKER CROSSES THE FINISH LINE). THE SECONDARY ROAD CLOSURE IS FROM TALBOT LINE (HIGHWAY 3) AT UNION ROAD HEADING SOUTH. ANY PARTICIPANT WHO IS DELAYED IN ARRIVING FOR ANY RACE DISTANCE IS ASKED TO ENTER VIA HIGHWAY 3 AT THE KEYSTONE COMPLEX AND PARK AT THE VERY BACK BY THE BARNS AND THEN WALK THE TRAIL TO THE START LINE. Timeline of events - Sunday June 14th 20267:30am to 8:30am - Registration & Bib Pick-Up8:45am to 8:55am - Warm Up / Welcome / Land Acknowledgment / O'Canada9:00am - 10 KM Runners Start9:10am - 5 KM Runners and Walkers Start10:15 am approx start of Kids Run. NOTES OF INTEREST:St. John’s Ambulance will be on-site.There will be 3 water stations along the route (2.5 km, 5km, 7.5km).
