Join us for the vibrant Run Like HECS event on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the picturesque Point Pleasant Park in Halifax! This exciting annual fundraiser supports the Halifax Early Childhood School and offers a fantastic opportunity for families, competitive runners, and participants of all ages and abilities to come together for a day of fun and fitness.
Kick off the morning at 9 am with the Adult 5km run/walk, followed by a thrilling 400m children's run/dash at 10:00 am, and a 1 km race at 10:30 am. After the races, gather for a delightful BYO picnic by the ocean at 11:00 am. Don’t forget to pick up your race bib early on Friday, June 6, from 4-6 pm at the Running Room on Spring Garden Rd. Come and be a part of this joyful community event that promises to be a memorable experience for everyone involved!

Run Like HECS 2025 is the third annual event for our non profit preschool, Halifax Early Childhood School. Every year we raise funds to grow and maintain our special school, while hosting a running event for families, competitive runners, and people of all ages and abilities. Races: Saturday, June 7 at Point Pleasant Park (Lower parking lot, by Black Rock Beach).9 am - Adult 5km run/walk
10:00am - 400m children's run/dash begins
10:30 am - 1 km race begins
11:00am - BYO picnic by the ocean
