Organiser's Description
For almost 40 years, Sue Skrobiak was a dedicated secretary in the Odette School of Business. While at Odette, she was heavily involved with the MBA program, often described as the MBA βmomβ and a support system to all. Sue left many treasured memories for Odette's students, faculty, and administration, leaving a footprint on the many lives she touched. Her dedication to Odette has been credited as truly admirable and selfless.
In honour of remembering Sue and her impact on the MBA program, the Odette MBA Society will host the 5th annual Steps for Sue walkathon fundraiser on July 27th from 10:00 to 2:00 pm at Malden Park Visitor Centre. The walkathon will be a 3 km route in honour of Sue. However, participants are welcome to walk as much as they prefer on the event day!
Preceding the walkathon, a small memorial will be held at the Malden Park Visitor Centre, where family, friends, and colleagues will gather to share memories about Sue and commence the 5th annual event. Following the completion of the 3 km route, a light lunch and refreshments will be served. All guests are invited to complete the course and return to the Malden Park Visitor Centre to honour Sue.
The event will raise funds to benefit the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, an important organization that provided extensive support to the Skrobiak family. All funds will be donated directly to the organization to continue its unwavering commitment to the Windsor and Essex County community.
