The Mangy Coyote is a backyard ultra with bite: a scrappy, no-frills endurance event built for runners who thrive on the edge of discomfort. This event is a fundraiser for the Pictou County United Way.Formerly known as "The Backyard Boogeyman" - we're entering 2026 with this newly imagined race name paying ohmage to our lovely 2025 mascots.. the Mangy Coyotes!
It’s a test of stubbornness, attitude, and survival.For 13h - run a loop. Repeat. The loops keep coming until the time is up - or you give up.This isn’t about medals or glory.
