Ulnooweg Summer Solstice Run 2025

Join us for Ulnooweg's 8th Annual Summer Solstice Run!We are proud to bring back the Ulnooweg Summer Solstice Run for 2025, where we join together to celebrate the beauty of life and value of community. This year our run is taking place on National Indigenous Peoples Day, what a great way to celebrate this run!In-person Run Date and Start Time: June 21, 2025 @ 8 AMRegistration and Kit Pick up times: June 20 @ 6-8 PM and June 21 @ 7-8 AM Location: 15 Legends Ave, Millbrook, NS Post-event Breakfast awards to follow. Participants costs are included in registration. Guest can join and can purchase tickets for breakfast at the door. No purchase is necessary to attend post-run events. We are going to continue having the options of a 5K, 10K, and a 2K run. Fuel up with post run breakfast at the Summer Solstice Breakfast Social (additional tickets can be purchased for family and friends for $20 each). Want to walk? No problem! Walkers are welcomed in the 2k and 5k Run.Can't join us for the official run date? No problem! Sign up for one of our virtual runs and participate any time during the month of June which is Indigenous History Month!Please join our Running Community in celebrating healthy living and experiencing the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation. Please note that the 5k and 10k are a part of the NS Road RaceSeries and are both Athletics Canada Certified! The 5k is a Performance Race series. A few notes to consider:If you are a Run Nova Scotia member, use promo code RUNNS25 to receive your discount!Non-service dogs are not allowed in the raceThe race route will be open until every runner returnsThere will be no refundsVirtual RunWe are offering a virtual run option for the 2K, 5K or 10K runs. This allows you to celebrate the Summer Solstice in the community of your choice at any time during Indigenous History Month. You will have until June 1, 2025 to register, and then June 1-30 to complete your run. All registrants will receive a medal, and a bib. Summer Solstice T-Shirts will be available for purchase when registering. You will also have the option to pick up your running kit, or have it mailed to you. Starting at 8:15 AM - Begin across the Legends Gaming Centre parking lot. Loop around Legends Dr. Take a left on Tower Rd, right on Glooscap Dr. Go all the way down to Clinton Dr and loop back down to Glooscap Dr. Take a right on Tower Rd. Run pass the water tower. Path will continue onto an UNPAVED gravel road up to the first Wind Turbine. (Runners be aware that this is a dirt road!) At the turbine, runners will loop and return all the way down to the end of Tower Rd. Right on Treaty Connector, loop around Legends Dr to the FINISH line!

Starting at 8:30 AM - Begin across the Legends Gaming Centre parking lot. Loop around Legends Dr. Take a left on Tower Rd, right on Glooscap Dr. Go all the way down to Clinton Dr and loop back down to Glooscap Dr. Take a right on Tower Rd. Runners will continue down to a turning point where they will loop back. Continue back on Tower Rd, take a right on Treaty Connector, loop around Legends Dr to the FINISH line!

2K Walk/Run
Starting at 8:45 AM - Same route, except runners will loop at the lights before Treaty Trail Rd. Hey kids & Elders! Kids under 15 years old get to participate in the 2km Run and the Virtual 2km for FREE! Elders over the age of 65 can participate in any run event for FREE. Discount will be applied at checkout.
