Join us for the 2nd Annual Walk for Glacier View Lodge on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in the beautiful Comox Valley! This uplifting event invites individuals and teams to walk 2 kilometers in a scenic park-like setting at Glacier View Lodge or participate virtually from anywhere. Starting at 1 PM, attendees will gather at 2450 Back Road, Courtenay, to raise funds for music therapy programs that bring joy and harmony to our beloved elders.
As you stroll through the picturesque surroundings, take in the stunning views of the Comox Glacier and mountains while envisioning a brighter future for seniors' housing in the area. The day promises entertainment, including delightful Dog Dancing midway through the walk and a performance by local singer-songwriter Sherri Smith afterward. Light refreshments will be served as we celebrate community spirit and support for Glacier View Lodge. Everyone is welcome, so whether you’re walking, cheering from the sidelines, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, we can't wait to see you there!

We walk to raise funds for music therapy, bringing joy to our elders. While walking the Glacier View Lodge property, you will view and imagine the future for seniors housing in the Comox ValleyThe walk starts at 1 PM at Glacier View Lodge, 2450 Back Road, Courtenay. Please allow time for parking and sign in. Parking details are on the Course Map found on the left sidebar of this page.Everyone is welcome to attend, to walk or simply relax and enjoy the view of the Comox Glacier and mountains. So residents’ families, Society members, friends of GVL and business supporters we hope to see all!Dog Dancing will entertain us at about the mid point of the Walk. After the Walk, we will be entertained by Sherri Smith, a local guitar playing, singer songwriter with an amazing voice. Enjoy the music with light refreshments. Throughout its extensive history, Glacier View Lodge has always maintained a close relationship not only with the residents it cares for, but also the entire Comox Valley.
