Join us for the annual Walk for Wildlife on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in beautiful Winnipeg, Manitoba! This exciting event, held at the Aspen Shelter Site in St. Vital Park, offers participants the choice of a 5 km individual or team walk, or a 5 or 10 km run. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gather friends and family to support the Prairies Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre (PWRC), a dedicated non-profit organization focused on caring for injured and orphaned wildlife in Manitoba.
Registration opens at 8:15 AM, with the walk kicking off at 9:30 AM. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges and donations to help fund the crucial care provided to local wildlife. Early registration is just $40, which includes a t-shirt, button, and bib, while kids aged 12 and under can join for free (parental registration required). After the race, enjoy refreshments, a pancake breakfast, and a chance to meet the Wildlife Ambassadors! Come out for a day of fun, fitness, and making a difference for Manitoba's wildlife!

Walk for Wildlife
Prairies Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Inc. (PWRC) is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to treat injured and orphaned wildlife and to successfully release them back into their natural habitat. Our goal is to raise funds to allow PWRC to operate on a continual basis and provide superior care to Manitoba’s injured and orphaned wildlife. Proceeds go directly towards the care of our wildlife patients for medication, veterinary visits, food, supplies and enclosure maintenance.
This event is a 5 km individual or team walk or 5 or 10 km individual or team run where participants are encouraged to collect pledges/donations from family and friends. Our annual Walk for Wildlife fundraiser is our biggest event to help raise money for Manitoba sick and injured wildlife.
Walk begins at 9:30 AM. Walk-up registrations are welcome on the event date. Registration booth opens at 8:15 AM. Bib pick up date TBD. Race Day meet up: Aspen Shelter Site, St. Vital Park.
