Join us for the Walk for Wildlife on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in beautiful Winnipeg, Manitoba! This exciting event, hosted by the Prairies Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Inc. (PWRC), offers participants the chance to support injured and orphaned wildlife while enjoying a fun-filled day outdoors. Choose between a 5 km individual or team walk, or a 5 km or 10 km run, and make a difference by collecting pledges from family and friends.
The event kicks off at 9:30 AM, with walk-up registrations available starting at 8:15 AM. Be sure to pick up your bib early on September 3rd from 6 PM to 8 PM at Assiniboine Park, or on race day at the Aspen Shelter Site in St. Vital Park. Registration fees are $40 for early registration and $45 for late registration, which includes a t-shirt, button, and bib. Kids aged 12 and under can join for free with a registered parent or guardian. Enjoy refreshments, a delicious pancake breakfast, and a chance to meet Wildlife Ambassadors after the race. Plus, participants who raise over $100 will receive a special prize! Come out for a day of fun,

Walk for Wildlife
Prairies Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Inc. (PWRC) is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to treat injured and orphaned wildlife and to successfully release them back into their natural habitat. Our goal is to raise funds to allow PWRC to operate on a continual basis and provide superior care to Manitoba’s injured and orphaned wildlife. Proceeds go directly towards the care of our wildlife patients for medication, veterinary visits, food, supplies and enclosure maintenance.
This event is a 5 km individual or team walk or 5 or 10 km individual or team run where participants are encouraged to collect pledges/donations from family and friends. Our annual Walk for Wildlife fundraiser is our biggest event to help raise money for Manitoba sick and injured wildlife.
Walk begins at 9:30 AM. Walk-up registrations are welcome on the event date. Registration booth opens at 8:15 AM. Early bib pick up will be on September 3rd at 6-8 pm at Assiniboine Park, near Park Cafe. You may also pick up your bibs on race day.
