Join us for the exhilarating Walk for Wildlife on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in the beautiful city of Winnipeg, Manitoba! This exciting event, hosted by the Prairies Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, aims to raise much-needed funds to support the care of injured and orphaned wildlife in our community. Participants can choose between a 5 km individual or team walk, or a 5 or 10 km individual or team run, all while collecting pledges and donations from family and friends.
The festivities kick off at 9:30 AM at the picturesque Aspen Shelter Site in St. Vital Park, with walk-up registrations available from 8:15 AM. Early bib pick-up will take place on September 3rd at 6 PM at Assiniboine Park, giving participants a chance to prepare for the big day. General registration starts at just $40, and kids 12 and under can join for free! Each registration includes a t-shirt, button, and bib, plus refreshments and a delicious pancake breakfast after the race. Don’t miss out on the chance to meet the Wildlife Ambassadors and enjoy a day of fun while making a difference. Together, we can support Manitoba’s wildlife and create lasting memories!

Walk for Wildlife
Prairies Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Inc. (PWRC) is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to treat injured and orphaned wildlife and to successfully release them back into their natural habitat. Our goal is to raise funds to allow PWRC to operate on a continual basis and provide superior care to Manitoba’s injured and orphaned wildlife. Proceeds go directly towards the care of our wildlife patients for medication, veterinary visits, food, supplies and enclosure maintenance.
This event is a 5 km individual or team walk or 5 or 10 km individual or team run where participants are encouraged to collect pledges/donations from family and friends. Our annual Walk for Wildlife fundraiser is our biggest event to help raise money for Manitoba sick and injured wildlife.
Walk begins at 9:30 AM. Walk-up registrations are welcome on the event date. Registration booth opens at 8:15 AM. Early bib pick up will be on September 3rd at 6 pm at Assiniboine Park, near Park Cafe. You may also pick up your bibs on race day.
