The event kicks off at 9:30 AM, with a lively registration booth opening at 8:15 AM at the Aspen Shelter Site in St. Vital Park. To make the day even more enjoyable, early bib pick-up will take place on September 10th at Assiniboine Park. After the race, participants can indulge in refreshments and a delicious pancake breakfast, plus meet the Wildlife Ambassadors! With registration options available for individuals and teams, and special rates for kids, this is a fantastic opportunity to come together for a great cause. Walk for Wildlife
Prairies Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Inc. (PWRC) is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to treat injured and orphaned wildlife and to successfully release them back into their natural habitat. Our goal is to raise funds to allow PWRC to operate on a continual basis and provide superior care to Manitoba’s injured and orphaned wildlife. Proceeds go directly towards the care of our wildlife patients for medication, veterinary visits, food, supplies and enclosure maintenance.
This event is a 5 km individual or team walk or 5 or 10 km individual or team run where participants are encouraged to collect pledges/donations from family and friends. Our annual Walk for Wildlife fundraiser is our biggest event to help raise money for Manitoba sick and injured wildlife.
Walk begins at 9:30 AM. Walk-up registrations are welcome on the event date. Registration booth opens at 8:15 AM. Early bib pick up will be on September 10th @ 6:30 pm at Assiniboine Park, near Park Cafe. You may also pick up your bibs on race day.
Race Day meet up: Aspen Shelter Site, St. Vital Park.
General Registration Prices (early registration): $45 (+ additional fees)General Registration Prices (late registration): $50 (+ additional fees)General registration includes t-shirt, button, and bib.Kids' Registration*(12 and under): $20 (with t-shirt) OR Free (no t-shirt)
