YMCA Northumberland's Rainbow Run

Get Ready for the 2025 YMCA Northumberland's Rainbow Run, proudly together for EquALLity! Join us for the YMCA Northumberland's Rainbow Run, a community celebration of love and diversity in a welcoming atmosphere that raises funds to build and strengthen our whole community. So, lace up your sneakers and choose between a 2.5 km or 5 km walk or run – either way, it’s all about spreading love, acceptance, well-being and some of that rainbow magic. This event celebrates inclusion, diversity, and healthy living during Pride and Indigenous Month while raising funds to support our community’s wellness.We warmly invite all individuals to participate and join the fun.Registration: Adults $25 / Youth (age 5-12) $10 / Kids 4 & under freeThe run starts at 9:30 a.m. (check-in opens at 8:30am)As a token of accomplishment, the first 250 registered participants to cross the rainbow finish line will snag themselves a shiny finisher medal.Snazzy and colourful Commemorative Event Socks (@$20/pair)* are available for purchase too!
In support of the YMCA Northumberland’s invaluable initiatives that provide a space for everyone to experience wellness, participants are encouraged to seek donations for the Rainbow Run. If you raise $75 or more in donations, you will receive a complimentary pair of Event Socks to show your pride! Also, if you raise $100 or more, you have the option to get your registration refunded too**.**EXCITING NEWS**An Online Silent Auction is now available - thanks to the generous support of many local businesses. We can’t wait to spread love and paint the town in a multicoloured rainbow at this epic family and community extravaganza! Furry friends and strollers are also welcome.This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada through the ParticipACTION Community Challenge Grant. The Community Challenge is a national physical activity initiative that encourages everyone to get active together throughout June, with Canada’s most active community winning the top prize of $100,000 to go towards local physical activity and sports initiatives.Rainbow Run: where every step counts and every colour matters!
