On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Aylmer, Elgin will come alive as participants unite for the fourth annual event dedicated to raising funds for The Family Central. With an impressive goal to surpass last year’s success of over $100,000, this event invites everyone to walk, run, or cycle along scenic routes of 5 km, 12 km, 24 km, or 34 km, all while contributing to vital resources for the most vulnerable in our community.
Kick off the day at Steen Park, where participants will find hydration stations and enthusiastic support along the routes, which wind through beautiful parks and along Imperial Road toward Port Bruce. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking to enjoy a day outdoors, there’s a distance for everyone! Join us on Saturday September 20 for the fourth annual Journey for Change in support of The Family Central in Aylmer. Last year we raised just over $100,000 to fund the work at The Family Central.So, whether you choose to walk, run or cycle the 5, 12, 24, or 34 km route, all money raised will be helping the most vulnerable in our community access resources to provide immediate needs as well as long term solutions. Sign up today and be a part of the work of The Family Central!Route:The 5 km walking route will go through the parks in town - map will be given on the day of the event.The 12/24/34 km running and biking routes all follow Imperial Road towards Port Bruce. Stations will be set up along the route to offer hydration and any assistance people may need.Motorcycle route will be given to each rider on the day of the event.All routes will launch at Steen Park.
