Beautiful BancroftCamp & Cottage Challenge and The Ontario Marathon Provincials.Fun and challenging races for Canoe, Kayak, SUP craft. Racing and Recreational classes. For a great cause. Funds raised support Bancroft Community Transitsβ transportation for children and youth in the community; and employment and social programs that foster social inclusion. The race courses will be run upstream on the York River starting from Riverside Park in downtown Bancroft. The river has deep and shallow sections, twists, current and other technical elements as well as a buoy turn.While this race is billed as OMCKRAβs Ontario Marathon Canoe/Kayak Championship for OMCKRA Members, the competition is open to anyone who complies with the rules and regulations of the competition. Cost is $25 per paddler, $20 for OMCKRA (and CKO*) members. Bring your own boat. There will also be a limited numbers of boats on hand to lend out. * Sprint and Whitewater members under CanoeKayak Ontario (CKO) are eligible for the discount with proof of membership. Core classes will be offered at this event of U14, U17, Senior (20 to 40), Masters and Grandmasters with Senior as the default class so for example a Masters paddler can race with someone aged in their 20s.
