Get ready for an exciting day of fun and fitness at the 2026 Summerside Kids of Steel Triathlon, taking place on Sunday, August 16th, 2026, in the vibrant city of Summerside, Prince Edward Island. This fantastic event is part of the TriLobster MultiSport Festival and promises to be a memorable experience for young athletes aged 4 to 12. Participants will enjoy a thrilling pool swim at the Credit Union Place, followed by a bike and run segment on the Race Track.
With age-appropriate race distances designed to challenge and inspire, kids will tackle a range of distances based on their age group, from a short 100m run for the youngest participants to a 1km run for those aged 10-12. Everyone who crosses the finish line will receive a medal and tasty snacks to celebrate their achievement! With only 50 spots available, be sure to register your child before the deadline of August 15th at 5 PM. Join us for a day filled with energy, excitement, and encouragement, as families cheer on their young triathletes in a supportive atmosphere. Triathlon PEI is excited to host the third and final event of the 2026 K*OS Triathlon Series in Summerside as part of the TriLobster MultiSport Festival!The triathlon takes place in the Credit Union Place pool & bike/run on the Race Track. Medals and snacks will be given to all participants! Food, t-shirts and medals for all participants.
There is a maximum of 50 spots so be sure to sign up early! :)There will be no event day registration. Please ensure to register your children before 5pm on August 15th!Swim: Pool swimBike: Race TrackRun: Race TrackRace check-in: Begins at 1:00 pm and continues til 1:50. Kids will get their markings and numbers. Bikes and gear will be brought into the transition zone.Race Start: 2:00 pm with kids in the first wave meeting on the pool deck to go over the course.*** Bike portion is on a cinder track; mountain or gravel bikes are recommendedImportant Information:All participants must be members of Triathlon PEI, Triathlon NS, Triathlon NB or Triathlon NL. Purchase an Annual membership at https://www.tripei.ca/membershipPlease note: As per 2025 Triathlon Canada rules, during the event family members will NOT be permitted in the transition zone or on the race course (you can't run beside your child!). There will be Triathlon PEI volunteers available to help the kids!

6-7: 25m (1 length) swim, 800m bike, 400m run
8-9: 75m (3 lengths) swim, 1.6km bike, 800m run
10-12: 150m (6 lengths) swim, 4.8km bike, 1km runFamily DiscountA discount for families with multiple siblings will be applied at checkout.
