Ruth, a former varsity runner and expert in women's health, will share her knowledge on cultivating a positive relationship with food and creating sustainable habits. Please note that all participants must be registered for the 2026 Servus Calgary Marathon Women's Training Program and be over the age of 18. This runner-focused evening will combine practical nutrition strategies with easy, delicious recipes designed to support performance and recovery.At XONE, we’re getting hands-on with two simple, runner-friendly recipes:Sweet Potato Chipotle Chili (Instant Pot) hearty, comforting, high in nutrients, and perfect for meal prep when life gets busy.Chocolate Beet Recovery Smoothie: a fun and functional option to support post-run recovery.About Ruth Burrowes: Ruth Burrowes is a Registered Dietitian who blends exercise science with evidence-based nutrition to help women thrive, from peak performance to disease prevention and healthy aging. A former varsity runner, she champions strength as preventive medicine and is passionate about translating research on women’s health, hormonal shifts, and longevity into practical, actionable guidance.Ruth is also a strong advocate for cultivating a positive relationship with food, prioritizing variety, enjoyment, and sustainable habits without rigid rules. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master’s in Nutrition from the University of Western Ontario.Requirements:All participants must be registered for the 2026 Servus Calgary Marathon Women's Training Program.All participants must be over the age of 18 to participate.Please note:Registering for the Women’s Training Program and/or Women's Training Program Events does not register you for the 2026 Servus Calgary Marathon.
