The Headingley Fire Department RUN/HFD is back for its 26th annual event! This scenic race route takes participants over and along the Assiniboine River and through the residential streets of South Headingley.RUN/HFD is a 5km Chip timed event which is proudly part of this years Manitoba Runners Association CLASSIC RACE SERIES! The race begins and finishes at the Headingley Fire Department and is followed by an awards ceremony and over 50 post-race draw prizes. Each year, the event brings together hundreds of runners, walkers, families, and community supporters for a fun and memorable dayCharitable CausesChildren’s Rehabilitation FoundationTrue North Youth Foundation, in support of the Westgrove CommunityBoth organizations work to make the lives of children safer, healthier, and happier.Through our partnership with the True North Youth Foundation, we are helping provide recreation opportunities for at-risk youth in the Westgrove area. This year, we have committed over 60 week-long summer camp spaces for children and youth from Westgrove and surrounding communities.Race Day Family ActivitiesRace day is designed to be fun for the whole family. Participants and spectators can enjoy a variety of activities, including:🎵 On-site DJ🚒 Fire & Life Safety Trailer🏰 Multiple bouncy castles📸 4SquareFOTO photo booth🧸 Special mascot appearances🌭 Hot dogs and refreshments served by BIG MUR and Retired Chief HannyAll race registrations also include entry into dozens of post-race raffle prize draws.Youth AwardsAwards will be presented to the top three finishers in both boys’ and girls’ divisions for participants in Grades 3–12.Race Kit Package📅 Friday, May 22 – 5:00–8:00 PM
