The route follows the familiar path along Colonel Talbot/Sunset Drive, leading straight to the beautiful Port Stanley Beach. After crossing the memorable finish line archway, stick around for a delightful lunch at GT's Patio or the Port Stanley Brewery. This year's run is free for all, but donations are encouraged to support Good Neighbours Canada’s #Step4Water program, which provides access to clean drinking water in developing countries. With a cap of 300 participants, be sure to register early to secure your spot in this fantastic community event!

Our annual and always ELECTRIC BackRoads run to Port Stanley Beach is approaching on Saturday, August 22nd. This is a fun social run with distance options for everyone, ranging from 3.5km to 33.6km, supported by water/fuelling stations and bag drops from our amazing volunteers!
We have staggered start times provided through registration based on your desired pace and start location. Our goal is to have everyone finish at 11:00am. This run is FREE and open to ALL runners in our community! Please consider donating this year, as BackRoads is proud to be supporting Good Neighbours Canada, who provides access to clean drinking water in developing countries.Good Neighbours Canada helps communities thrive. Through their #Step4Water program, we bring clean water to rural areas - like their new borehole in Zambia, now serving 500 people! Each project costs $5,000 and includes training for lasting impact.Our classic Port Stanley route is the same as previous years, following Colonel Talbot/Sunset Drive straight into Port Stanley, taking a right at the lift bridge and over to the beach!! 🏖 Stick around afterwards for lunch on GT's Patio, or at Port Stanley Brewery!Our friends from On will have shoes to try on with 7.5km to go! We will have a MEMORABLE finish line archway that you won't want to miss!!! Our friends from XACT Nutrition will be keeping you fuelled along the route.Last year, we reached capacity for the run with 275 participants! This year's event will be capped at 300 runners, and registration is mandatory.
