Organiser's Description
The Saskatoon Road Runners go off-road to present the Blackstrap Trail Race. Nestled along the forested valley walls below the majestic Mount Blackstrap is a set of challenging trails. Featuring a combination of wider cross-country ski trails and single track, the event offers 5 (ish) and 10 (ish) kilometer events.This is green, no frills event. There are neither T-shirts nor medals offered. Registration numbers are capped at 80 and registration will close if cap is met. Entry fee is $15.00 per runner (plus taxes and Race Roster administration fee). No refunds. Saskatoon Road Runner Association members receive a $5.00 discount. Come run for the enjoyment of running the trails at Blackstrap with your fellow runners. Our traditional wiener roast lunch follows the the runNo awards will be offered at this event. Instead we'll have 5 special draw prizes. Stick around after your run for the wiener roast - you might be a winner!Come run the trails at Blackstrap and enjoy the fall beauty on the forested slopes.Directions:Blackstrap Provincial Park is located approximately 50 km south of Saskatoon. From Saskatoon follow Highway 11 south to the town of Dundurn. At Dundurn turn east (left) onto Highway 211. Follow this road to Blackstrap Lake. After crossing the causeway at Blackstrap turn south (right) to the entrance kiosk at Blackstrap Provincial Park. From the kiosk follow the road for 2 km to the trailhead parking lot. (It's the first left after the kiosk). Note: A Saskatchewan Provincial Park pass or daily park permit is recommended to enter the park.Results:Official results (including age class and Masters' subdivisions) will be posted on our website later in the day following the event.
