RACE WILL BE CAPPED AT 100, SIGN UP BEFORE WE SELL OUT!This race is a friendly low-key event where you can run the distance you want! We know the January weather in Regina is unpredictable, so we are flexible about how far your run is. You have six hours to run either one loop around Wascana Lake (4 km), a half-marathon, a marathon, or whatever distance you can fit in within 6 hours.You will earn your fabulous one-of-a-kind polar bear medal and polar bear cookie if you complete even one lap. If you run a distance of 42.2 km or longer, you'll earn an additional swag item!
- RACE DAY NOTES -
- There is no package pick-up. Please come 30 - 45 min before the start time at 7:00 AM to pick up your race bib and to attend the pre-race chat. If you choose to start later in the morning runners are welcome to start anytime after 7:00 AM, but the race finishes at 1:00 PM.You can also choose to start before 7 am (provided you email first - ([email protected]). Please note though, you need to stop at 1 PM.- The route will be the little lake, 4 km loop - direction is up to the runner, but we will start clockwise. - Results will be recorded per your watch, your finish distance and time of day starting and finishing.
- Route will not be marked, but this is the recommended route to reach 4 km per loop.Route: https://onthegomap.com/s/adfd31uj---- Runners can also choose to join in on a restaurant based (self-paid) post race social, location to be announced at a later time. Donations will be accepted at race site the morning of the event.- Gently used towels, seasonally appropriate, clean, and good condition clothing for women and children.
- Cleaning supplies, plates, cups, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Small kitchen appliances in new/like new condition.
- Reusable coffee cups and water bottles.
We can accept new donations of:
- New Women's Underwear, diapers Size 2+, hygiene Items.
- Menstrual Hygiene Products.
- Single-serve food items like granola bars and tea.---
-Toques, Mitts, Gloves, Jackets, Socks, Gently used boots and winter gear.
-Perishable food, individual packaged food and the basics/ ingredients to create homemade meals from their kitchen for they public. (fresh homemade meals are usually prepared, divided up and packaged for everyone who will visit their warming shelters and locations during the winter)
