Get ready for the exhilarating Downhill Dash 5km, taking place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, in the beautiful city of Hamilton! Organized by Tim Forrester, this exciting race is hosted by Stac Hamilton, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting local youth facing barriers to access. Runners will have the unique opportunity to tackle Canada's FASTEST 5km course, which promises an adrenaline-pumping experience with an average time that is 45-60 seconds faster than other 5km events!
Participants will enjoy a slightly downhill, tree-covered, and traffic-free course, ensuring a safe and enjoyable run. Buses will transport runners to the start line starting at 8:45 am, and every finisher will receive a custom medal, along with awards for the top three overall male and female runners, as well as age group winners from 14 & under to 70+. With plenty of hot food, drinks, and exciting draw prizes awaiting after the race, the Downhill Dash promises to be a fantastic event for both runners and supporters alike. Stac Hamilton is a charitible organization the supports the youth in Hamilton that face barriers to access. With your donation, we are able to provide safe space for youth to play sports,provide mentorship and create pathways to educationYour one and only chance to smash that seasonal or personal best time on Canada's FASTEST 5km course!!~Please see attached Strava course elevation map, courtesy of Dan McKinnon, a former race winner, who also certified this course.Runners on average are 45-60 seconds faster than any other 5km course!!
