Hosted by the Moncton Dog Runners & Bordertown Harness DogsThe Bordertown Harness Dogs are excited to host their first Introduction to Harness Dog Sports Clinic, supported by the experienced team at Moncton Dog Runners.
When: Sunday, October 26 at 9:00AM (weather permitting) - Includes a follow up session on Sunday November 16.Location: Dickey Park, 132 East Pleasant st, Amherst.Whether you’re curious about canicross, bikejoring, scootering, sledding, or cani-hiking, this beginner-friendly clinic will give you a solid foundation in harness dog sports. We always start on foot, as it’s the safest and most effective way to teach your dog new commands and teamwork.What You’ll Learn:
You and your dog will begin working together as a team through fun, practical exercises like:
✔️ Starting and stopping in sync
✔️ Speeding up and slowing down
✔️ Passing others calmly and safely
✔️ Navigating distractions with focus
✔️ Learning basic directional cuesWe'll also cover:
