KMH 5K Breakaway

The Kimberley Minor Hockey 2nd annual family-friendly run will feature both a timed 5km race and a 5km fun run option. This event will start and finish at the Kimberley Civic Centre. The registration table will be open from 9:45 am to 10:15 am. Be sure to pick up your T-shirt and race bib during this time.ROUTE DETAILS:Timed Event Participants:
The timed race will start at the Civic Centre, heading out on the Rails to Trails, and will continue up to Jim Ogilvie Way, where you’ll reach the 2.5km mark. There will be a water/aid station here. From there, you'll head down the Volksmarch Trail to Rotary Drive, cross over to the Lions Trail, and continue to the skate park. After crossing Rotary Drive, you'll follow the sidewalk back to the Civic Centre.FUN Run Participants:
The fun run follows the same course as the timed event. However, you also have the option to turn around at the water station and head back along Rails to Trails to the Civic Centre. Please note that the Volksmarch and Lions Trails are dirt trails with some steep sections, so if you're looking for a gentler route, this option may be a better fit for you.
