Get ready for a delightful day of fun and fitness at the Mochas and Marshmallows Kids Run on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in beautiful Calgary, Alberta! The race features various distances tailored to different age groups: kids aged 10 to 14 will tackle a 3km course, while those aged 8 to 9 will run 2km, and younger participants aged 6 to 7 will also complete a 2km loop. The youngest runners, aged 5 and under, can enjoy a 1km lap. Each participant will receive a shiny medal, a delicious cinnamon bun, and a steaming cup of hot chocolate to celebrate their achievement!
Parents are welcome to join runners aged 9 and under, and it's encouraged to arrive at Edworthy Park at least 20 minutes before the race for check-in. Don’t forget to bring a mug for that warm hot chocolate! Organiser's Description
The Mochas and Marshmallows is a fun run for kids under the age of 14. Each participant will receive a medal, hot chocolate and treat after they cross the finish line. The route is 1km loop (500m out and 500m back along grass/pathway). 3:00pm Ages 10 - 14 will run 3km = 3 laps3:30pm Ages 8 - 9 will run 2km = 2 laps4:00pm Ages 6 - 7 will run 2km = 2 laps4:30pm Ages 5 and under will run 1km = 1 lap
All kids must run in their own age category - no exceptions. This event is NOT timed.All children will receive a medal, cinnamon bun and a hot chocolate.Ages 9 and under may run with an adult.
RACE DAY:1. Please ensure race bibs are worn ON THE FRONT of your child so we can easily identity them, and they will need them to collect their medal, hot chocolate and treat.
2. Please bring a mug for your child's hot chocolate.
3. Please arrive on-site at least 20 minutes before your race.
