Organiser's Description
Part of the OUTRace Series - A first of its kind ultra running event in Ontario - This 6, 12, 24 hour ultra-marathon takes place at one of Prince Edward Counties longstanding wineries, Sugarbush Vineyard.
Sign up to run solo for 6, 12 or 24 hours, or register a relay team for the 24 hour and see how many kms you can rack up! There is also a 12 Hour NIGHT option! Run your 12 hours starting at 9PM on Saturday.
The Course:
This 3km(ish) loop is flat and non-technical, half through a private wooded trail and half though an open meadow and around the vineyard.
RULES:
Its simple! All races start at 9AM on Saturday (except the 12 hour night race) Participants run the 3+km loop over and over again until your time is up! You DO NOT NEED TO RUN CONTINUOUSLY. Feel free to take breaks and rest in between loops!
Inform the timing crew when you are officially finished if departing the course before the race time is up.
For example, if you are running the 6 Hour race. If you begin at 9am and complete 2 loops, then rest, then complete another 2 loops then decide to stop but it is not yet 3pm (race finish time) you simply inform the timing crew that you are finished at 4 loops.
Relay teams may divide up the loop however they wish as long as each member runs the loop at least once.
Timing/Awards/Swag:
At present, timing will be done manually. Please inform the timing tent when you are officially finished if departing the course before your allotted race time is over
Sustainable and unique prizes will be given to first place male and female who accumulate the most loops in their chosen timeframe.
There will also be prizes for the relay team with the most loops
