This exciting annual event invites participants of all ages and abilities to don their pirate gear and hit the scenic trails of Garry Point Park. Choose your challenge with distances of 5km, 10km, 15km, or a 21.1km half marathon, all taking you along the picturesque West Dyke and Middle Arm Trails. For our younger sailors, there's a fun 1-3km Little Pirate Run/Walk that promises to be a delightful experience.
Join your fellow shipmates for a day filled with fun, including door prize giveaways and a variety of vendors. The course features minimal inclines and stable gravel trails, making it perfect for everyone, including strollers and leashed dogs. So gather your crew, register by August 23rd to customize your Pirate Name Bib, and get ready to make unforgettable memories at this vibrant community event!

The Big Pirate Run
Don't walk the plank, run the park!Join us for the 5th Annual Big Pirate Run taking place at Garry Point Park Saturday 19th September.
Suitable for all ages and abilities including strollers and leashed dogs.
This themed run offers a 5km/10km/15km and 21.1km (half marathon)
Big Pirate Run/Walk (8:30/9am) along The West Dyke and Middle Arm Trail's,
as well as a 1-3km Little Pirate Run/Walk (10:00am) around scenic Garry Point Park.
Run with your ship mates, enjoy door prize giveaways, vendors and more.The Big Pirate Run tours picturesque West Dyke and Middle Arm Trail's.
Starting at Garry point park, the course makes it way North, passing sights including Terra Nova Park, The Richmond Olympic Oval and you may even catch some planes landing at YVR!
With minimal inclines and stable gravel trails, everyone is assured a beautiful and stress-free run/walk. The route is for all ages and abilities. Pet & Stroller Friendly!*
