Get ready for a fantastic day of fun and fitness at the Thornbury Turkey Trot on Saturday, October 10, 2026! Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Blue Mountains in Grey, this family-friendly event features a variety of race distances to suit all ages and abilities. Participants can choose from a challenging 21K run, a scenic 10K run/walk, a brisk 5K run/walk, or let the little ones join in on the excitement with a 1K free kid's run!
The festivities will kick off at the Beaver Valley Community Centre, where runners will enjoy custom race swag, chip timing, and medals for all finishers. Plus, there will be plenty of post-race fun, including delicious food, music from a live DJ, and exciting draw prizes from local businesses. With early registration perks like a free TC Rotary water bottle for the first 10 sign-ups, and a special family discount for groups of three to six, there's no better way to celebrate the Thanksgiving weekend while supporting community initiatives. Please make support arrangements thereafter. Cancelation policy: Cancelation policy: Sorry no cancellations or refunds due to weather or public health orders. There will be no deferrals or refunds as expenses have already be accrued. Transfers between distances or to another runners are allowed though the “transfer” link on our race roster page.
Weather Policy:
Safety always comes first and our race committee makes all final decisions when an event must be delayed or cancelled due to inclement weather. In the case of inclement weather that forces our race director to cancel an event, there will be no refunds. In the case of a weather cancellation, by that time a large portion of the race fee’s have already been allocated. Registered participants will still receive your swag bag. Thank you for understanding these policies.**Registration is NON-REFUNDABLE** due to pre-purchased race expenses!!BIBS can be TRANSFERRED to another participant for any distance until October 10 7am!
