On the first day, riders can choose between a 43km or 20km loop cycling route known as the Rural on the Ridge. This mainly flat signature cycling loop showcases the stunning rural businesses and heritage attractions of the escarpment, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy local produce, including refreshing apple cider. Riders will start and finish at the picturesque Ridge Road Estate Winery, where a light sandwich lunch and a glass of wine (or soft drink) await.
On Sunday, September 27th, join Six Nations Tourism for an enriching 3-hour canoe trip along the Grand River, led by Indigenous guides who will share the rich history and cultural significance of this beautiful waterway. Saturday 26 September cycling the Rural on the Ridge Sunday 27 September - paddling experience on the Grand River with Six Nations Tourism Ride Day One, Paddle Day Two or for the best value join us for the weekend to both ride on Saturday and paddle on SundayDay One - 26 September - 43km/20km loop - Rural on the Ridge Featuring a mainly flat signature cycling loop, developed in conjunction with the Hamilton Halton Brant Tourism organization. This route highlights the rural businesses and heritage attractions of the escarpment and features incredible lakefront views. Rest stops will feature fresh local produce. Registration fee includes a glass of wine (or soft drink) and light sandwich lunch at the finish at the beautiful Ridge Road Estate Winery.Day one ride starts and finishes at Ridge Road Estate Winery, 1205 Ridge Road, Stoney Creek, ON L8J 2X5Registration opens at 8:30am and ride starts at 9:30am 20km ride starts at 9:40amShort 20K ride option available featuring Ridge Road and the Dofasco Trail - gravel and some sections of boardwalk - gravel/hybrid bikes recommended for the 20km ride43km route is flat and follows paved country roads.
