This year, the race will take place at Beverly Heights Hall, located at 4209 111 Ave NW. Along with the thrill of the race, participants will receive a commemorative Fall Classic souvenir and medal, with kids participating in the 1-mile fun run also earning a medal. The stunning views of the river valley & the great postcardio DONUT will remind you of why you took up the sport in the first place.Participants can register as individual participants or as a team.
Team Captains can set up a team when registering and invite members to join.Participants who raise over $150 will be entered into a draw to win some amazing prizes. More details to followAll 10 & 5-Miler Participants will receive a commemorative Fall Classic Souvenir and medal!
Kids 1 Mile participants receive a medal.Also receive the following with registration:* Chip timing bib* athletes bag check* classic pancake, sausage [Cooked by Canadian Progress Club], fruit breakfast and top it off with dessert
About the Charity:AboutWellspring Alberta is a warm and welcoming community that provides a comprehensive range of support, resources and programs so anyone living with cancer and the people who care for them can improve the quality of their lives.
HistoryWellspring Cancer Support Foundation was founded in Toronto in 1992 byAnne Armstrong Gibson, who had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkinslymphoma in 1988.
In September of 2022, Wellspring Calgary and Wellspring Edmonton joined forcesto become Wellspring Alberta, a strong and unified provincial charity that offersprograms and services at no charge and without referral, to anyone with any typeof cancer, and their families.
Given the shared mission and mandate of these organizations, and their connectionto the Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation, the union was a natural fit and alogical way to strengthen resources, capitalize on efficiencies, and band togetherto provide vital services to those living with cancer throughout all of Alberta.
The merger was months in the planning and implemented after extensive analysis,collaborations, and committee work to ensure seamless integration of the threeWellspring centres in Calgary and Edmonton, as well as the thriving onlineWellspring community so that no one living in Alberta has to face cancer alone.
