TIME:
Race starts at 10:00 am.Bib pick-up from 8:30 – 9:45am at the Education Centre, Cold Creek Conservation Area.
DISTANCE:
6.5 km
LOCATION:Cold Creek Conservation Area14125 11th Concession, Nobleton, Ontario L0G 1N0
COURSE:Explore the beautiful and varied trail systems of Cold Creek Conservation Area. The course features a mix of wide and single-track trails through forest and meadows. Expect a few long climbs to add some fun.
NO DOGS PLEASE:As per our insurance policy - Dogs, on or off leash, are not permitted in race.
PARKING:
Parking is available at the race site.
ENTRY FEES:
Early Chickadee: $56.20 up to Dec 20Regular Registration: $61.59 from Dec 21 to Jan 8 Race Day Registration: $65 cash only (if space available)Prices include Race Roster processing fees.
Race is capped at 60 people - register early to secure your spot!
Registrations are non-refundable.
SNOWSHOE RENTAL:Don’t have snowshoes? We’ve got you covered! Limited Dion Snowshoes available for rentFirst come, first served — reserve during registrationRental fee: $10
RACE SOUVENIR:
All participants who register by December 31 will receive a customized race souvenir (while supplies last).
POST RUN CEREMONIES:
Warm up in the Education Centre with some post-race chili and stay for the awards presentation. All participants eligible for numerous draw prizes from our sponsors including a pair of Dion snowshoes! (must be present to win)
WEATHER:
If there’s no snow and conditions are safe (not too icy), the race will proceed as a trail run (without snowshoes). If held as a trail run, we recommend wearing traction devices as the trail may be icy.
DION CANADIAN SNOWSHOE SERIES:
Points will be awarded for each race in the Dion Series with the series champions being crowned at the final event in the series. For more information on the Dion Series, please click here.
