The MacAulay Memorial Ruck is more than a walkβitβs a meaningful way to honour those who have served while directly supporting veterans and their families in our community. Participants will carry a loaded backpack (βruckβ) along a scenic route, symbolizing the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of military service.
WHAT IS A RUCK?A ruck is a weighted pack carried over distanceβused by soldiers to remain self-sufficient and mission-ready in any environment. In this event, your ruck becomes a powerful act of giving back
HOW IT WORKS:
1) Bring your own backpack or rucksack2) Fill it with non-perishable food items (your chosen weight)3) Complete the route and donate your food at the finish line
