Join us for the 12th Annual Warm Hands Warm Hearts Run on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the picturesque Alfred Savage Centre in Whitemud Park, Edmonton, Alberta! This uplifting community event features a variety of race distances to suit everyone, including a 21K at 9:00 A.M., a 10K at 9:15 A.M., and a family-friendly 5K run/walk starting at 9:30 A.M.
Participate in this meaningful event and help support vulnerable individuals in our community by donating essential items such as toques, mitts, scarves, and toiletries. Whether you choose to join us in person or participate virtually, your involvement will make a difference. Gather your friends, family, or coworkers to form a team and embrace the spirit of giving while enjoying a fun day of fitness! Donβt forget, donations are accepted until November 13th, so get involved and spread the warmth this season!

Which items go in a backpack? Toque, mitts, scarf, socks, toiletries, feminine hygiene & a $5 coffee card.
2. Can I donate used items? Yes
3. Do I have to fill a backpack, I have lots of socks to donate? No, you can donate individual items as well. Everything gets sorted and organized before itβs handed out.
4. I want to help out as much as I can. Can I donate more than 1 backpack or additional items? ABSOLUTELY!!
5. How can I get my community/school/workplace involved? Ask for help from family, friends, coworkers. Start your own donation drive (all you need is a box & a sign) and collect from your social circle and then donate it all to Warm Hands Warm Hearts Run before November 18th. Please contact Jen Hamel for LARGE DONATIONS.
6. How are these items distributed to vulnerable individuals? Dedicated volunteers sort, organize and pack the bags. They are then handed out to the vulnerable and houseless population in the inner city.
7. Will I (participant) be handing out backpacks in 2025? For everyoneβs safety we will not have WHWH participants interacting with the vulnerable population.
8. How can I support this event? We are having a 10k & 21k trail race as well as a family friendly 5km run/ walk and in Edmonton November 15th (by registration only) for those wanting to get involved with physical activity. Get friends and family, or coworkers involved by starting a team and you can run or walk all get together.
9. When is the cutoff for donations? The last day to donate online is Thursday, November 13th, 2025
10. Where can I drop off donations? you can bring your donations to the race or we have different drop off locations listed on our website www.warmhandswarmhearts.ca
11. Where do my registration dollars go? Your registration money goes into buying new goods to fill backpacks whether it be mittens, scarves, coffee cards whatever is needed at the end to ensure each bag gets the same items.
