Get ready for a day of speed and excitement at the 6th annual Fast Days of Summer 5000 and Mile, taking place on Sunday, September 6th, 2026, in the beautiful Kelowna, Central Okanagan! This event features a flat and fast 5k race, perfect for runners of all levels looking to achieve personal bests or tackle their very first 5k. With chip timing and a certified course (BC-2019-010-PTBA), this race is not only a chance to push your limits but also an opportunity to earn IRA 2026 points standing. The 5k race kicks off at 8:00 AM and is capped at 200 participants, so be sure to secure your spot early!
In addition to the 5k, the event also includes a certified 1-mile race starting at 9:15 AM, followed by an untimed kids' fun run by donation. All proceeds from the event support the UBCO Heat cross country program, making it a fantastic way to give back to the community while enjoying a day of fitness and fun. Don’t miss the early race package pickup on Saturday, September 5th, from 11:00
In addition to the 5k, the event also includes a certified 1-mile race starting at 9:15 AM, followed by an untimed kids' fun run by donation. Parking south of the start. Park near Rusty’s Sports Lounge and surrounding lots.

Perfect to run your first 5k, push your limits, or set a new PR taking advantage of your summer training! The 5k race will be eligible for IRA 2026 points standing.8:00 am 5K Start Time
We will be hosting a 1 mile race as well, which is also certified for 2026 as above
