Beaverton Rotary is proud to present the 10th Beaverton Sun Run. We will be partnering with the Beaverton Parade again this year. The date of this year's race will be Saturday, September 7, 2024. The race will be before the parade and race will be a USATF Certified 5K [https://certifiedroadraces.com/certificate/?type=r&id=3638] out-and-back between about Evelyn M. Schiffler Memorial Park and 5th and Maple. The start and finish of the race will be on SW Berthold between Erickson and Menlo Dr (see map below).
This will overlap with the parade route that day. Participants are encouraged to spread out after the race to watch the parade which starts at 10am or visit the Saturday Beaverton Farmer's Market. The goal of the race will remain the same, raise money for the good works supported by the Rotary Club of Beaverton. We have been serving the local Beaverton community for over 60 years. We have raised over a million dollars to support local kids in the last 20 years. We provide books for kids, scholarships, warm coats and shoes along with a lot of very worthwhile projects both locally and throughout the world. We invite you to participate and to support these benevolent activities.

Day of Race Registration
Here are some key reminders for the day of the Beaverton Sun Run.
* The race is on Saturday, September 7, 2024 and will start promptly at 8.30am.
* There will be chip timing which will start when you go across the start line.
* Avoid getting to close to the start line before the race starts.
* "Packet pickup" will open at 7.30am. Primarily you will be picking up your number (which incorporates your timing chip). We recommend picking up the number by 8am.
* Online registration will close Friday at noon. It will reopen Saturday morning. The race registration will go up to $45 with no discounts. Day of the race registration will close at 8.20am. Please share with friends and families that are considering sign up.
* To check your results, go to https://hubertiming.com/results/2024SunRun.
* Start of the race will be off SW Menlo and SW Berthold in the North entrance of Schiffler Park on SW Berthold.
* Parking will be at Beaverton Christian Church. The parade organizers do not want runners to park at Calvary Church since that is dedicated to people in the Celebration Parade.
We look forward to seeing you on race day. We will have a water station set up at the turn and there will be three portable restrooms at the start/finish line.
We have some passes for the Columbia Employee Store and some certificates for free cheesy garlic bread from the Spaghetti Factory.
