Join us for the 12th Annual Pat and Toach Purcell Memorial Scholarship 5K and 1 Mile Walk on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in beautiful Scranton, Lackawanna! This exciting event kicks off at 9 AM on the scenic Lackawanna River Heritage Trail at Olive Street. Participants can choose to run the 5K, a challenging 3.1-mile course with official chip timing, or enjoy a leisurely stroll in the 1 Mile Walk.
Registration is open now until September 28, 2024, with an entry fee of $30 for the 5K and Walk. After that, the fee increases to $35 for race day registration, which will take place from 7:45 AM to 8:45 AM. All pre-registered participants will receive long sleeve T-shirts, and awards will be given to the top male and female finishers, as well as medals for the top three finishers in seven different age categories. Additionally, the event supports a great cause, as a scholarship will be awarded to a local athlete in honor of Pat and Toach Purcell.
