Join us for the vibrant 2024 Jim Thorpe Run on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, in Albuquerque, Bernalillo! This beloved event, a staple in the New Mexico running calendar, is back in person, promising a day filled with fun and community spirit. Hosted at the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute, participants can look forward to a variety of race distances, including a 2-mile Fun Walk, a competitive 5K race, a 1K Youth Run, and an exciting Toddler Dash.
Runners of all ages can participate, with age group awards available for the 5K and 1K categories. The event kicks off bright and early with packet pick-up and on-site registration starting at 6:30 AM, followed by the Fun Walk at 7:30 AM, the 5K race at 8:30 AM, and the Youth Run at 9:30 AM. The day concludes with awards at 10:00 AM, followed by a traditional Pueblo throw. WELCOME BACK THE JIM THORPE RUN AS AN IN-PERSON EVENT IN 2024! THIS MAINSTAY OF THE NEW MEXICO RUNNING SCHEDULE IS HOSTED BY NATIVE HEALTH INITIATIVE AS A FUNDRAISER FOR OUR SPORTS WARRIORS PROGRAM.
