Run for a cause!! All proceeds from the Market for the Arts 5K Run/ Walk will go to the Mt. Pleasant High Schools Hall of Fame. This year's race will start and finish in front of Max & Emily's in Mt. Pleasant, this years race will coincide with the Market for the Arts Festival in downtown Mt. Pleasant. Register by August 15thfor a guaranteed t-shirt.
RACE PLAN AND FAQ
Packet pickup will be available Friday August 23 from 4-6pm at the Runners Athletic store in Mt. Pleasant located at 4459 E. Blue Grass Rd. Mt. Pleasant, MI. Race packets may also picked up the morning of the race outside Max and Emilys near the start finish (look for our Blue Tent).
Cost: $35 per person
Check-in area: THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION. We ask for registration to be done online via Run Signup. There will be no race day sign ups. The packet pickup/check-in area will be at the starting at 7:15am the day of the race.
The start of the 5k will be at 9:00 AM. When you arrive please park, and pick up your packet (race bib, safety pins).
Race number and chip: Your packet will contain your race number with the chip on the back, please wear your bib on the front of your shirt. Do not tamper with the bib or remove the chip. You will need to wear the race bib in order for your run/walk to be timed. If you do not wear the bib you will not be in the results.
Finish line: Once you have finished the race, please grab a bottle of water and some fruit near the finish line. Participants may take their bibs into the following local vendors for a discount on a drink: Unplugged, Ponder Coffee, Pleasant City Coffee, Pure Vitality, and Max and Emily's.
Course: The 5k course will consist of running on city sidewalks and streets with volunteers at turns to direct traffic and runners.
Results: Results will be live and available on-line at this web site. Please remember results will not be final until the last person has crossed the finish line
Parking: There is ample parking on the streets and the parking lot behind Max & Emily's.
Fluid Stations: We will provide bottled water at the finish of the race. There will be no fluid stations on the course.
