Taking place in the picturesque Gaylord, Otsego, this exciting event invites runners of all levels to brave the elements and enjoy a fun-filled day of fitness and community. The race features a classic out-and-back course starting from the Pavilion on Main, winding down Court Street, and turning around at Village Parkway. With the wind always seeming to challenge runners, participants can expect a true test of endurance and spirit!
This professionally timed race kicks off at 9 AM, and all finishers will receive an Alpenfrost mug along with free cocoa from the award-winning Brennans cocoa crawl spot. Plus, there are exciting awards for the top two finishers in each age group, along with special prizes for the overall male and female champions! Don’t miss your chance to secure your spot for just $40 until January 18, 2025, after which registration increases to $50. ALPENFROST FROSTY 5K 2025!!! Come Snow, Cold, Sun, no sun, or a weird warm day we had that one time, we are here for it, and we run it!
A basic 5k that is not as easy as it sounds. This is an out and back from our beloved and true route starting from the pavilion and going down court street to the turn around on Village parkway and back. Guaranteed the wind is never at your back no matter what direction you turn, and we love it! We have had some impressive frosty faces for 2024-Oh and we had the guy in just shorts and shoes -BRRR (Bryson-we are talking about you)!

This is a professionally timed race, and results will follow after you cross the finish line.
We are taking into consideration the request of participants this year: 5 YEAR AGE GROUP AWARDS!
Awards will go to the top 2 finishers in each age group, male and female. 14 and under, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 and over. Also, the first Male and Female Top finisher overall gets a special finisher award!
This year's race includes Timing, Post Race Refreshments/Snacks, and an Alpenfrost MUG with Free Cocoa at our 2024 award winning Cocoa crawl spot-BRENNANS.
You can add the warm beautiful Hoodie in the Giveaway section of registration. Hoodie only available through 1/28/2025.
